Kidz Klub

Hey gang, introducing our HV Kidz Klub! Join us every Sunday night (except for July 4) at the South Ridge Playground for a night of fun! Meet the other kids from the neighborhood as we play games, do arts & crafts, and hang out. Starting this Sunday after the Family Bingo and every Sunday night from 6:00-8:00 pm during summer. We recommend it for kids ages 5 and up. We will provide snacks each week. Please wear appropriate clothes and sneakers for playing. No need to register for these events.

Tennis has been an integral part of the Hidden Valley Community for almost 60 years! We are excited to announce the beginning of a new season starting on April 13th, 2021. Due to the influx of new owners at the resort, the Hidden Valley Tennis Club would like to welcome anyone interested in playing. We also look forward to playing with our returning homeowners and guests as well. All skill levels are encouraged to attend.  We play every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 AM. Please feel free to join us. If you have any questions or would like to get a game together, feel free to contact Becky McKinley at 814-279-5797. We are so excited to get back on the courts.

Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Game Outing

Pittsburgh Pirates game against the Milwaukee Brewers

Go Bucs! Our 16th annual Pirates Baseball Game and Tailgate Picnic outing will be Wednesday, July 28. We have reserved a block of 50 box seats in Outfield Box Section 127 for the Pirates versus the Milwaukee Brewers game. The ticket price is $36 per person and includes a tailgate picnic, reserved seating, and a $10 voucher that is redeemable at any concession stand or souvenir shop. The tailgate picnic will include a variety of sub sandwiches, chips, veggie tray, cookies, wine, beer, soft drinks and bottled water. It has not yet been decided if there will be a shuttle from HV to the game.

The tailgate picnic will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. and the game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start. If you are planning to meet us at the tailgate picnic, we plan to park in Gold Lot 1B ($15) which is located on W. General Robinson Street between Art Rooney Avenue and Scotland Avenue.

Please make your reservations online at www.HVFToday.com. Payment must be made at the Foundation Office by Thursday, June 24 (may be paid in person or mail in a check). 

We have secured a shuttle from the Foundation to the game and will leave the foundation at 3 pm.  The cost is $10 per person and payable at the time you pay for your tickets.

Bocce Ball Tournament

We are pleased to announce that our first ever Community Bocce Tournament will “get rolling” at the South Ridge Center bocce courts on Saturday, July 31, at 10:00 AM., weather permitting.  This event is limited to 32 people.

Bocce is a sport that is rapidly gaining popularity within our community.  The recent completion of our second bocce court has added to our playing capacity, which will enable us to sponsor tournaments periodically.

The tournament will be single elimination, open to 2-person teams.  If you do not have a partner, please register individually, and the tournament organizers will pair you with a partner, if possible.  Children 12 and up are welcome to participate when partnered with an adult.

Prizes will be awarded to each member of the winning and second-place teams.

Soft drinks and bottled water along with snacks will be provided to participants.  Spectators and participants are invited to bring chairs, food, and adult beverages, if desired.

Please register early as the tournament will be limited to 16 teams.

The deadline for registration is Thursday, July 29..  There is no entry fee.

Ice Cream Social

I scream! You scream!  We all scream for ice cream!  Join your HV neighbors for some refreshing ice cream sundaes at the South Ridge Center playground area on Saturday, July 31 from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  We will provide a variety of hand-dipped ice cream flavors.  You top it off with the toppings of your choice (we’ll provide those, too).  Reservations are not needed; just come and enjoy the treat.  In the event of inclement weather, we will move into the South Ridge Center Great Room and provide take-out containers for you.  Music will be provided by DJ Sean Daniels from 7:00 PM to l0:00 PM.
