Tennis has been an integral part of the Hidden Valley Community for almost 60 years! We are excited to announce the beginning of a new season starting on April 13th, 2021. Due to the influx of new owners at the resort, the Hidden Valley Tennis Club would like to welcome anyone interested in playing. We also look forward to playing with our returning homeowners and guests as well. All skill levels are encouraged to attend.  We play every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 AM. Please feel free to join us. If you have any questions or would like to get a game together, feel free to contact Becky McKinley at 814-279-5797. We are so excited to get back on the courts.

Summit Village Board Meeting

Summit Village Board Meeting via teleconference.  If you wish to be placed on the agenda to be heard, contact the Foundation Office, 814-443-3001,  a week prior to the meeting to be placed on the agenda. 

Game Night

Game Night is back after a long hiatus due to COVID.  Join us for a variety of board and card games in the South Ridge Great Room.  No reservation necessary.

ACC Meeting

ACC Meetings are held at the Foundation Office.  Currently because of COVID restrictions, only Committee Members are able to attend in person.  Special arrangements must be made if anyone would like to in in attendance via teleconference. 

Happy Hour

This event is limited to 38 participants. 

This will be our last Happy Hour of the summer!  Bring your beverage of choice, your folding chair, and your food to the South Ridge Foundation Park and enjoy a relaxing time with your HV neighbors.  It’s a great time to destress and get to know your HV neighbors.  No reservation required.  Weather permitting.

Bocce Ball

Bocce, a sport similar to lawn bowling, was first offered at Hidden Valley last summer.  It was so successful, that a second bocce court will soon be added next to our existing court at the South Ridge Center.

No expensive gear is needed for bocce.  All that is needed is a set of bocce balls, which is available for sign-out at the SRC.

A game of bocce can be played with 2, 4, 6, or 8 players.  The rules of the game are easy to learn.  Beginners can enjoy the game after just 10 or 15 minutes of instruction or by watching a game.  There are a variety of strategies in bocce to keep the game interesting and fun.

Bocce Tournament

The second community Bocce Tournament will “get rolling” at the South Ridge Center bocce courts on Saturday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.  This will be our final bocce tournament of the year. 

Our first tournament was a big success with 22the participants.  A good time was had by all who enjoyed the sunny weather and the friendly competition. 

The format of the second tournament will be modified to shorten the duration.  It will be based on the number of participants with a goal to complete the preliminary rounds and determine finalists in 2 hours or less.

Competitors will consist of 2-person teams.  If you do not have a partner, you are encouraged to register individually and the tournament organizers will pair you with a partner, if possible.  Children 12 and up are welcome to participate when partnered with an adult.  There is no limit on the number of players who may register and participate, but the deadline for registration is Thursday, September 2.

Prizes will be awarded to each member of the winning and the runner-up teams.  Soft drinks, bottled water and snacks will be provided to participants.  Spectators and participants are invited to bring chairs, food, and adult beverages, if desired.

End of Summer Picnic

Join us for our last picnic of the summer on Saturday, September 4 at 6:00 p.m.  Enjoy live music from JD and Cindy from 5:30-8:30.  Dinner will be served from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and will consist of fried chicken, sides, and dessert.  Please register by Wednesday, September 1 so that we can ensure to purchase the correct amount of food.
