Tennis has been an integral part of the Hidden Valley Community for almost 60 years! We are excited to announce the beginning of a new season starting on April 13th, 2021. Due to the influx of new owners at the resort, the Hidden Valley Tennis Club would like to welcome anyone interested in playing. We also look forward to playing with our returning homeowners and guests as well. All skill levels are encouraged to attend.  We play every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 AM. Please feel free to join us. If you have any questions or would like to get a game together, feel free to contact Becky McKinley at 814-279-5797. We are so excited to get back on the courts.

Happy Hour

When it’s finally Friday, it’s time for Happy Hour at HV! Bring your beverage of choice, your folding chair, and your food to the South Ridge Park and enjoy a relaxing time with your HV neighbors. It’s a great time to destress and enjoy our beautiful neighborhood. No reservation required. Weather permitting.

Bocce Ball

Bocce, a sport similar to lawn bowling, was first offered at Hidden Valley last summer.  It was so successful, that a second bocce court will soon be added next to our existing court at the South Ridge Center.

No expensive gear is needed for bocce.  All that is needed is a set of bocce balls, which is available for sign-out at the SRC.

A game of bocce can be played with 2, 4, 6, or 8 players.  The rules of the game are easy to learn.  Beginners can enjoy the game after just 10 or 15 minutes of instruction or by watching a game.  There are a variety of strategies in bocce to keep the game interesting and fun.

Laurel Hill Hike & Picnic

Back again is our annual picnic and hike at Laurel Hill State Park! This is a great opportunity to visit with your HV neighbors and experience all that Laurel Hill State Park has to offer.

First, at 10 a.m., we will meet at the Lake View Pavilion for an approximate 1-hour hike of moderate intensity. Then return for picnic lunch at 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. catered by My Girls Deli. Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, the usual sides, as well as soft drinks and bottled water. Please note: Alcohol is not permitted in the State Park.

Available for rent are canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and row boats. They have a beach area with swimming, children’s playground equipment, and a volleyball area for those with extra energy. There is a handicapped accessible restroom by the pavilion as well as a bathhouse with separate facilities for men and women near the beach.

Directions: The Lake View Pavilion is located right on the beach of the Laurel Hill State Park. From Hidden Valley:

*Take Route 31 East towards Somerset

*Turn right onto Trent Road (just past CoGo’s gas station)

*Drive 1.6 miles on Trent Road to the park entrance (located on your right with a large stone pillar entrance)

*Follow the park road approximately 2.8 miles to the first parking lot on the left

*The pavilion is located at the bottom of the parking lot near the beach and lake Please make your reservations online at www.HVFToday.com by Sunday, June 6, in order for us to coordinate with the caterer by June 7.
