Summit Landscape Project

Two of our major objectives are 1) controlling invasive plants and 2) introducing more sustainable native perennials to our Hidden Valley landscape.  We believe the Summit entrance is a great opportunity to demonstrate each of these objectives.

The Environmental and Landscape Committee will be targeting the narrow green space between the main entrance and exit to the Summit. There are several invasive plants there, including multiflora rose and honeysuckle, as well as grasses and weeds that need to be cleared out.   Our goal is to clean up the area and prepare it for planting native perennials there in the Spring.  We will also be planting bulbs there now for some Spring color.  If time permits, we will look at removing invasive plants around the pond area.
