Cross Country Ski Outing

Come on out, and bring the entire family for a morning of Cross Country Skiing on Sunday, February 16th at 9:00 AM. We'll meet at the Mighty Oak Pavilion at Kooser State Park and cross country ski from there. This event is designed for beginners, but more advanced cross country skiers are welcome to participate. Here, you'll learn the basic skills needed for a good cross country skiing experience. The trail is clearly marked with blue diamonds and is around 3.5 miles in length. The terrain is flat and the path is smooth. If you don't have cross country ski equipment, rentals are available at local rental shops. Please be sure to dress warmly and in layers. There is no fee to participate in this event, but we ask that each participant bring 1 piece of firewood for a fire in the pavilion following the ski. Light refreshments will be served. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch. When entering the park, please use the main entrance near the Ranger Station. Please register online using the link below.
