Hidden Valley Resort

The Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort offers a wide variety of recreational amenities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, a sports club, restaurant and lounges, and a conference center. They also offer a ski resort facility that includes 28 slopes, 8 lifts, and quality ski instruction. Many hours can spent on the cross-country and biking/hiking trails located throughout the Resort and the adjacent state parks.
 

Double K Stables Opens At Hidden Valley

Resort expands activities and amenities with new partner.

Hidden Valley, PA – The menu of things to enjoy at Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort is about to expand with the opening of the Hidden Valley Stables.  The resort has partnered with Double K Stables to manage the new operation.

Double K Stables has a facility in nearby Somerset, where they offer a variety of services to both the casual and serious rider. Owners Rich and Marilyn Ogle pride themselves in offering an intimate and friendly atmosphere while maintaining a high level of horse care. They are committed to offering safe, healthy, educational and fun services and programs which promote good horsemanship practices for the enjoyment of the horse and rider. “We are excited about our partnership with Hidden Valley and the opportunity to expand our operations and offer another great outdoor experience to visitors to the Laurel Highlands,” commented Rich Ogle.

The Hidden Valley Stables will open Saturday, August 8.  Initial services will be guided trail rides.  Guests will enjoy a unique view of the mountains on wooded trails.  “In addition to the experience of the ride, we also want the guest to have a better understanding of the animal and horsemanship,” added Ogle.  Double K will be offering horsemanship camps and other programs at Hidden Valley in the future. “We are working toward offering additional activities and amenities for our guests, and horseback riding is a popular request,” stated Robert Duppstadt, resort spokesperson. “Double K is the perfect partner for Hidden Valley. Their commitment to quality guest service fits well with our mission to provide the best family experience and memories.”

The Hidden Valley Stables, operated by Double K, will offer guided rides at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and by appointment on Monday and Tuesday.  Additional services and programs will be added.  To make reservations for a trail ride at the Hidden Valley Stables please call 814-521-3321.

 

Lake George Activity Center Is Now Open

conf_confcenterThe Lake George Activities Center (located in the former Mountain Deli building) is now open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Families will enjoy paddleboats, fishing, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and even some arts and crafts. Please contact the Lake George Activities Center at 814.443.8000, extension 251 during regular hours of operation for more information.
